Document Templates and Electronic Signatures
Templates and signatures help teams produce consistent documents and collect approvals without leaving CaseSolo.
Document Templates
Use templates for repeatable documents such as:
- Letters of representation.
- Medical record requests.
- Demand letters.
- Releases.
- Intake packets.
- Client updates.
Admins can manage firm templates from the templates area. Keep template names clear and include the document purpose, such as "Demand Letter - Auto Accident".
Using Templates
- Open Templates or a case document tool.
- Select the template.
- Confirm case and client details.
- Review generated content.
- Save the document to the case.
- Send for review or signature when needed.
Always review generated legal content before sending it outside the firm.
Electronic Signatures
CaseSolo supports signature workflows for documents that need client, attorney, or third-party signatures.
Typical steps:
- Prepare the document.
- Choose Send for Signature.
- Add recipients and signing order.
- Confirm email addresses.
- Send the request.
- Track status from Signatures or the case document view.
Signature Status
- Draft: not sent yet.
- Sent: waiting on one or more recipients.
- Completed: all required signatures are complete.
- Declined or voided: the request did not complete.
Intake Paperwork Links
For intake packets, the firm sends the client a public signing link instead of a portal login. The current behavior, verified 2026-09-12:

Best Practices
- Confirm signer names and emails before sending.
- Use templates for repeat signature packets.
- Keep signed copies attached to the case.
- Re-send only after confirming the signer needs a new link.
- Do not send privileged or sensitive documents to the wrong recipient.
