Managing Parties and the Case Timeline
CaseSolo keeps case people, organizations, and important events together so the team can understand the case quickly.
Case Parties
Use parties for clients, defendants, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, adjusters, providers, witnesses, experts, lien holders, and other involved people or organizations.
For each party, add:
- Name or company.
- Role on the case.
- Email and phone.
- Address when needed.
- Notes about communication preferences or relationship to the case.
Party Hygiene
- Avoid duplicate contacts.
- Use clear role labels.
- Keep carrier and adjuster information current.
- Add lien holders as soon as they are known.
- Remove or archive parties only when you are sure they are not needed.
Gap Warnings on Parties
Case gap analysis watches the party list and warns when it blocks progress:
- No opposing party (defendant, opposing counsel, or adjuster) is linked.
- No witness or expert witness backs the incident while the police report is
Link the defendant side to drive discovery and negotiation.
also missing. Add witnesses so liability proof does not stay thin.
Each warning names the missing piece and the action that clears it. Warnings recompute whenever the case record changes.
Case Timeline
The timeline should reflect the story of the case. Add or confirm:
- Incident date.
- Intake and retention dates.
- Treatment milestones.
- Demand sent date.
- Offers, counteroffers, and settlement events.
- Filing dates.
- Hearings, deadlines, and orders.
- Disbursement and closing events.
Timeline Tips
- Record dates as soon as they are known.
- Add source documents to support important events.
- Keep deadline-related events accurate.
- Use notes for uncertainty instead of guessing.
- Review the timeline before sending demand packages or closing the case.
Workspace Lanes
Case workspaces group related views so you can move between documents, tasks, medical records, settlement tools, litigation, and communications without losing context. If a page feels missing, use search or the command palette to jump to the related workspace.
