Public copy cleanup
Date: September 8, 2026
The consumer lead generation pages, attorney marketing, software marketing, and blog received an editorial pass using Agency Script OS Deslop. The edits simplify customer-facing wording and repair punctuation while preserving the existing site and lead flow.
Scope
- Edited copy in 41 TypeScript and TSX files, including English and Spanish landing-page templates.
- Removed 605 em dashes from public copy. Sentence-specific edits replace parenthetical clauses, repair fragments, and simplify wording.
- Preserved page structure, styling, navigation destinations, form values, consent requirements, pricing amounts, and application logic.
- Preserved blog titles, slugs, dates, numeric sequences, links, and Markdown structure across all 17 posts.
- Kept internal comments and technical separators outside the prose cleanup.
Main patterns corrected
- §1: Internal jargon and inflated wording. “High-intent starting points” became “Choose a common situation below.” “Medical truth” became “Medical records.” “Attorneys also need runway” became “Attorneys also need time to prepare.”
- §2: Manufactured contrasts and fragments. “Not a vibe. A pipeline of concrete gates…” became “Each lead includes a record of the qualification checks completed before your purchase.” Incomplete conditional sentences were joined to the clauses they introduce.
- §3: Repeated dash clauses and dense asides. Long parenthetical phrases became complete sentences or direct modifiers. Legal qualifications and conditional statements remain part of the copy.
Editorial scorecard
Scores are subjective editorial assessments on a 1–10 scale, shown as before → after. They are not conversion results or factual certifications.
| Measure | Consumer pages and intake | Attorney and software marketing | Location and practice-area copy | Blog | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Directness | 6 → 9 | 4 → 8 | 7 → 9 | 7 → 9 | | Rhythm | 5 → 8 | 4 → 8 | 4 → 8 | 5 → 8 | | Trust | 8 → 8 | 5 → 8 | 8 → 9 | 7 → 8 | | Authenticity | 5 → 9 | 4 → 8 | 6 → 8 | 6 → 8 | | Density | 7 → 9 | 5 → 8 | 8 → 9 | 6 → 8 | | Total / 50 | 31 → 43 | 22 → 40 | 33 → 43 | 31 → 41 |
Verification
- ESLint passed for all 41 changed source files.
- All 53 existing tests passed across the consumer homepage, funnel mode switch, intake bot, category signals, free-to-start copy, and blog guides.
- A TypeScript AST comparison found no structural changes. It checked identifiers, expressions, numeric literals, URLs, stable keys, form values, and structural JSX attributes while allowing prose changes.
git diff --checkpassed.- Browser spot checks passed for the homepage, software page, attorney landing page, Spanish landing page, and car-accident guide. No lead was submitted during review.
Existing copy requiring a separate product decision
The software and features pages retain the existing “14-day free trial” and “no credit card” wording, while pricing uses “free to start.” Existing “Most Popular” and “Save 20%” labels also remain. This pass did not change offer terms or verify those claims.
Legal guidance and disclosures received an editorial pass, not a separate factual review. Existing claims about intestacy, minor children, tax-adviser privilege, and confidentiality remain substantively unchanged.
Changes are local. The visual design concept has not been applied, and nothing has been deployed.
Follow-up: unclaimed directory listings
The owner clarified that no attorneys have been verified and that unclaimed directory listings should show only the firm name, city, and state. The subsequent directory changes implement that request, including display behavior beyond the original copy-only pass.
- Removed public verification badges and blanket claims of completed license review.
- Added an unclaimed listing state with a claim prompt.
- Hid contact details, headlines, biographies, practice areas, and license information until a confirmed claim permits the full profile.
- Applied the same restriction to metadata, structured data, and public directory projections.
- Kept new ownership requests pending review. Starting registration does not transfer ownership, approve a license, or unlock the listing.
- Added directory ownership requests to the operator verification screen so requests can be reviewed separately from bar-license submissions.
- Separated confirmed ownership from full profile publication. A claimed profile can remain limited to its name and location while publication requirements are outstanding.
Meridian and the other local example firms originated in a demo seed that assigned verification flags directly. Those flags are not evidence of a completed claim or operator review. No seed or database repair was run during this work.
Follow-up validation: 135 tests passed across directory projections, publication eligibility, ownership requests and review, API authorization, registration, and the existing consumer funnel. The full project typecheck, targeted lint, and whitespace checks passed. Browser checks confirmed the directory cards, Meridian profile, and firm-specific claim entry. No registration or ownership decision was submitted in the browser.
